I work the counter. I have worked the counter for a while now. You walk in, you say a number, I hand you a tray. The tray always has three things on it.

I HEARD FRIES
You said just the burger. I know you did, I was standing right there. I nodded. I agreed with you completely. Then my arms did what my arms do.

NOBODY CAME IN
Tuesday nobody came in at all. I built a combo anyway and set it on the counter, in case. It went cold around eleven. I built another one.
The sign stays on. Somebody is going to want fries eventually, and when they do the tray is already made.
